Lauren Shapiro founded Capital Legal Group PA in 2015, a Miami based boutique securities law firm, bringing sophisticated and cutting edge regulatory, compliance and litigation services to domestic and international financial institutions, broker dealers, investment advisers, and private funds.  She is currently an active industry (non-public) FINRA Arbitrator, presiding over cases and rendering final and binding decisions through FINRA Dispute Resolution.    Prior to Capital Legal Group PA, she worked as a director in a national compliance consulting firm headquartered in New York City and was an attorney advisor with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and before that FINRA. She has an in-depth understanding of government regulatory and enforcement priorities as well as client priorities from a cost and operational perspective.  Her background includes years in private law practice, representing a variety of public and private companies in regulatory, trade practice defense and civil litigation. She graduated, cum laude within the top 10% of her class from Brooklyn Law and received her Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State University. She is admitted to the State Bar of New York and Florida.   In 2017, she founded Women in Finance Association, Inc., a non-profit networking, educational and philanthropic organization for women in the financial industry.

Franciele Sgarioni

Senior Sales and Marketing, Executive Trident Fund Services

Franciele Sgarioni is a Senior Sales and Marketing Executive at Trident Fund Services in South Florida, providing fund administration for various funds with a focus on the Latin American Markets.  Prior to joining Trident, she worked with GFI Group in New York City as a Marketing Analyst and Tradition Securities & Derivatives, Inc. as a broker for the Brazilian NDF desk.  She is a Brazilian national and speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and English.  She enjoys cooking, outdoor activities and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Stephanie Tetreault, CPA

Audit Senior Manager, KPMG LLP

Stephanie is an audit senior manager at KPMG LLP in Miami, Florida. She has been with KPMG for 8 years, providing financial statement audit services to asset management clients. She specializes in working with hedge funds, private equity funds, fund of funds, registered mutual funds as well as investment advisers. Stephanie recently relocated from Boston, Massachusetts to help lead the initiative to expand KPMG’s asset management practice in the Southeast region. She received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Accountancy from Bentley University, in Waltham, Massachusetts and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Massachusetts and Florida. In her spare time, besides supporting strong and powerful women, she enjoys road biking, boating, and snow skiing.

Holly MacDonald-Korth

Managing Director/CFO, JW Korth & Company

Holly began her career as an analyst at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Next, in 2000, Holly joined Overstock.com where she built a competitor to eBay and then moved on to Senior Vice President of Internal Marketing, Holly oversaw all website marketing, business intelligence, and analytics. In 2006, Holly moved to Miami to join J W Korth & Company, a broker-dealer and SEC registered investment advisor, where she currently is Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer. In this role she oversees all operations, finance, and business development for the firm. Holly is the founder of Korth Capital Management and also serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Korth Direct Mortgage. Holly received her BBA from University of Miami with Honors in Finance. Holly serves as the Secretary for the Point Lookout Land Conservancy and previously was on the advisory board of KCPW, the public radio affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah. Holly lives and works in Coconut Grove. She holds her Series 7, 24, 27, and 66.  

Heather Wootten

AVP-Product Management, Tradeweb Markets LLC

Heather serves as Assistant Vice President on the Product team at Tradeweb Direct – a Fixed Income electronic trading platform and solutions firm with U.S. headquarters in New York City. Heather works on Tradeweb’s Portfolio Solutions application, a portfolio management and analytics tool for Advisors managing Fixed Income portfolios. Prior to Tradeweb, Heather served as Director of Client Services at Castleton Partners LLC - an independent wealth preservation firm based in New York City. There, she served on the portfolio management team, was responsible for market surveillance and analysis, daily account maintenance, relationship management, firm operations and special projects. She also shared responsibility for the development and implementation of the firm's impact investing offering. She joined Castleton in 2013 from Carrington Mortgage Services, where she acted as a Senior Loan Officer. Prior to Carrington, Heather dedicated a year to the national service organization AmeriCorps, as a VISTA volunteer. In her role, she served as Business Development Officer and Credit Union Organizer for Fresno Community Development Financial Institution and led the chartering process for an institution that would become the Self Help Credit Union of Fresno, California.  Heather graduated from Bentley University with a B.S. in Corporate Finance and Accounting and a Liberal Studies double major in Ethics and Social Responsibility. She then received her M.B.A. from Bentley University's McCallum Graduate School of Business. In her spare time, she loves to travel, ski, play tennis and golf, relax at the beach, and spend time with friends and family.  

Loren Wojcik

  Loren Wojcik is an Associate at Assured Guaranty Ltd., the leading provider of financial guaranty insurance. Loren is focused on new business development across investment bankers, financial advisors and retail investors, as well as working with the pricing and research team within the Public Finance group.  Loren began her career at Assured Guaranty Ltd. in 2012 as an underwriter, before transitioning into her client focused role assisting in the market development efforts.  Prior to Assured, she worked in sales at Broadview Networks, a network-based electronically integrated communications provider, offering various telecommunication products, mostly focused in cloud computing.
Loren is the Vice President of Toppers, a chapter of the Municipal Bond Club of NY, as well as a member of the Municipal Analyst's Group of New York (MAGNY), the National Federation of Municipal Analysts (NFMA), and the Municipal Forum of New York.
She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts (BA) degree in Communication, Public Relations with a minor in Marketing from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Outside of her career, Loren sits on the Board of Advisors for Camp Kesem, a nationwide community, driven by college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer.

Katina Aziz, Education Committee Chairwoman

Katina Aziz is the President of KORE Consulting LLC. KORE provides ultra-high net worth individuals and family offices with collective reporting and analytics, operations and infrastructure on all assets that comprise their net worth. Prior to launching KORE in late 2016, Katina as an Analyst and Partner of Fulmar Advisors Limited, a Bahamas based investment advisory firm, for a period of four years. At Fulmar Katina oversaw all aspects of a Bermuda based hedge fund, whose strategy was global opportunistic. Katina simultaneously managed the family office of Fulmar’s President, which included a well-diversified portfolio of real estate, direct ownership of multi-million dollar corporations, private equity, venture capital, artwork and vehicles. From 2011 to 2012 Katina served as the Head of Operations for LyonRoss Capital Management, where she managed the build out of a proprietary order management system and the company’s compliance registration with the SEC. From 2007 to 2011 Katina worked for Millgate Capital Inc., a hedge fund manager with a long/short value equity strategy, managing $2bil in AUM held through both on and offshore funds.  Katina held various roles during her time at Millgate Capital including management in both client services and operations. From 2002 to 2007 Katina worked for E*Trade Capital Markets on their Institutional Trading and Sales Team where she obtained her Series 7 & 63 licenses and ultimate title of Sales Analyst. Katina holds a BBA in International Business from Berkeley College and an MBA from The NYU Stern School of Business, with specializations in Quantitative Finance, Finance and Marketing. 

Sarah Harley, Philanthropy Committee Chairwoman

Sarah Harley is a Portfolio Management Associate at GenTrust, an investment advisory firm that provides a comprehensive and flexible array of investment solutions to ultra high net worth individuals and family offices. Sarah’s primary responsibility is to work closely with the Head of Fixed Income in tailoring clients’ fixed income portfolios to their specific needs. This includes assisting with the construction, execution and day to day management of clients’ fixed income portfolios. In addition, Sarah contributes to the development of GenTrust's strategies involving commodities, equities, and alternative investments. Sarah began her career at GenTrust in 2012 as a Financial Analyst. Sarah has a Bachelor Degree in Finance from Florida International University and a certificate in Banking. She is a 2018 Level III CFA Candidate.
